Bishop Barry Eugene Yingling is the Bishop Ordinary of the
Diocese of the Transfiguration of the United Anglican Church, Rector of St. Alban’s Anglican Church in York, Pennsylvania,
Dean of Laud Hall Seminary, and Chaplain of The Brunswick, an assisted living facility in York.
A graduate of Excelsior College with a B.S., he also holds a Masters in Theology degree from St. Mary’s Seminary and
University in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed a residency in clinical pastoral education with Wellspan Health System, where
he served as the Chaplain Resident in the Behavioral Health Services line. Bishop Yingling also holds a certificate in religious
studies from the Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania.
Bishop Yingling has an
extensive background in healthcare, having served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Emergency Health Services
Federation for fifteen years, and Chairman of the Board of the health systems agency for southcentral Pennsylvania. He has
also served as executive director of Harford Hospice, a hospice program in Maryland, and on the boards of directors of the
former Lebanon Valley General Hospital, the Hospice Network of Maryland, the Joseph Richey Hospice in Baltimore, and the Central
Pennsylvania Health Planning and Marketing Association. He was the founder and first chairman of the Pennsylvania Association
of Regional Emergency Medical Services Councils. His health career began as a nursing assistant at Memorial Hospital, York
in the 1970’s. The Bishop has also been a lecturer and planning facilitator to nonprofit organizations, specializing
in boardsmanship, organizational structures, strategic planning. As the president of The Yingling Organization, the Bishop
provided consulting services to nonprofit organizations, as well as executive mentoring.
Bishop Yingling has also served as the Senior Warden of Grace and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Baltimore, Maryland,
and as a member of that parish’s parochial school board. Bishop Yingling is also the Chaplain
at The Brunswick at Longstown and Academic Dean of Laud Hall Seminary, a distance learning institution of the United Anglican
Church.
The Rt. Rev’d Jesus-Manuel Huertas, OHS Abbot The Oblates of the Holy Spirit
The Rt. Rev. Jesus-Manuel Huertas, OHS, was
born and raised in Manati, Puerto Rico. He is the son of the late Jesus M. Huertas and Mrs. Maria Aviles-Adorno. Bishop Huertas
has been married to the former Mayda-Iris Sanchez for almost 28 years and together they have two children, Juan-Carlos, a
pastor in the United Methodist Church, Louisiana Conference and Aisha-Najash, Marketing and Public Education Coordinator for
the Coalition on Organ Donation in Richmond. They also have a daughter-in-law, Shannon Huertas and a grandson, Andrew-Seth. Bishop Huertas was raised in the Roman Catholic Church and in 1972 came to a saving knowledge of Christ in a church
of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. After four years of service in the U.S. Navy, bishop Huertas became a ministerial
assistant in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Magnolia Gardens in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. In 1990 he was ordained
a minister in the Christian and Missionary Alliance while he was the Senior Pastor of the Church of the Sovereign Christ in
Levittown, Puerto Rico. After many years of spiritual struggle, bishop Huertas became a priest in the year 2000 in the Oblates
of the Holy Spirit Religious Order. The Oblates of the Holy Spirit is a non-residential religious order sponsored by the United
Anglican Church. In 2003, Bishop Huertas was elected Abbot of the Oblates of the Holy Spirit and the College of Bishops of
the United Anglican Church elevated him to the position of Mitered Abbot and invested him with episcopal authority. He was
consecrated in Clearwater, FL by the late Archbishop Gilbert C. McDowell, Abbot George D. Clark and Bishop Robert Parlotz.
In 1992, Bishop Huertas became a chaplain with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and has occupied
positions of increasing responsibility in the Federal Detention Center in Oakdale, LA, the Federal Correctional Institution
in Ray Brook, NY, the Federal Correctional Institution in Oakdale, LA and the United States Penitentiary in Pollock, LA. In
November, 2004, bishop Huertas became the Supervisory Chaplain at the Federal Correctional Complex in Petersburg, VA. In 1997,
Chaplain Huertas received the award, “National Chaplain of the Year” of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Bishop Huertas is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico,
Andersonville Theological Seminary, the Graduate National School of Pastoral Counseling, Lael College and Graduate School
and Laud Hall Seminary. His main areas of interest are Pastoral Counseling and Sacred Liturgy. He has an expertise in crisis
intervention and management and has served in the Crisis Support Team of the Federal Bureau of Prisons at the local, regional
and national level. Bishop’s Huertas motto is “To God, the Best and the Greatest.”
